Kyōtaidō

A hall that enshrines Kyōtai Ōshō, a priest known from the setsuwa (Japanese folktales) anthology Kokonchomonjyū. The legend tells that Kyōtai Ōshō, was a strange old priest that protected Miidera temple until the arrive of Chishō Daishi. Then, to pass the temple to him, he hided himself in a cave. After that, Daishi built the hall on the cave as a mausoleum to Ōshō.
