Onjōji Tengusugi

A 4m range sugi (cedar tree) forest. There is a big cedar tree called “Tengu Sugi” according to the legend that say that one night a trainee monk was transformed in a tengu (goblin-like creature) and flew outside. The edge of the trunk has been withered by a thunderbolt but the foliage is still leafy and florid.
